This is the first Christmas Eve in a long time that we have not sprinted from one event to the next and then got home really, really late and rushed to get the girls in bed! Since the Fillingham Family Christmas got moved to Saturday and due to time conflicts we were only able to attend one of the two church services we wanted to attend this year, we were actually home by 8:30 p.m. and got to let the girls open one present each and then play a little bit before putting out cookies and treats for Santa and the reindeer!
Scott and Hadley opening her present on Christmas Eve!
She got a Pixos carousel!
Seville opening her present!
She got a "Who-Who" sleeping bag, backpack, water bottle and flashlight. She loves "Who-Whos"...aka owls!
On one of Hadley's Gam days in December she went to a special place where kids could shop for their family members. She was so excited to give Gam her gift!
She picked out a nativity scene for Gam, which was VERY special since Gam collects nativity scenes. She picked this out all on her own!
BTW...I need to take back the fact that Hadley didn't get sick over the holidays because she actually wasn't feeling well on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, as you might be able to tell by her red little nose in these pictures! This was still a great picture of her and Gam and her special gift!
Hadley picked out a special clock for Grampa!
After we opened presents the boys play some Wii...Tiger Wood Golf!
Then Hadley prepared cookies, milk and apples for Santa and the Reindeer. In the past we have always left carrots for the reindeer, but this year we asked Santa when he was at Hadley's school what they liked and he said apples, so we made sure we went to the store and picked out special apples for them!
Hadley was very excited to leave everything on the fireplace!
Hadley always leaves a note for Santa along with the treats!
Later that night while we were all asleep Santa came and left lots of presents under our tree!
He also made sure our stockings were stuffed with lots of goodies!
He drank most of the milk, left some crumbs and a nice note back to Hadley!
Stay tuned for pictures from Christmas Day!
